Mightycause provides fundraising infrastructure to thousands of nonprofits — from small 501(c)(3)s to statewide giving event platforms. But identifying which orgs were actively fundraising (versus passive informational sites) was nearly impossible using standard B2B tools.

They needed to know:

  • Does the site actually accept donations?
  • What platform are they using (Classy, Neon One, Givebutter, etc.)?
  • Is this a membership-based org (which we can't support)?
  • Are they tax-deductible? (501(c)(3) only)

Mightycause's sales team was spending hours manually inspecting websites, source code, and footers to answer these questions. It didn't scale.

  • Payment processor technologies (via URL, form data, and page metadata)
  • IRS Form 990 data (including EINs, board members, and revenue)

  • Verified donation flow presence
  • Identified payment technology (Classy, Neon, Donorbox, etc.)
  • Category (e.g., food bank, animal rescue)
  • Public EIN + direct link to Form 990 PDF
  • Contact info (emails, phones, org websites)
